TTS Gains New Appliance Distributor Client
TTS’s flexibility and cost-effective pricing means that it can work with businesses of all size and within a wide variety of industries as it’s latest client win illustrates.
Recently established - Staffordshire based Devaney & Co has joined forces with TTS to handle its transport, storage and fulfilment requirements.
The importer, supplier and marketer of high-end, small kitchen appliances has chosen to work with TTS to help it with its growth plan.
Collecting, holding stock and fulfilling orders from Devaney & Co’s retail and e-commerce network – working with a wide variety of kitchen products from blenders and mixers through to coffee machines, toasters and meat slicers.
Ian Johnson, TTS’s ‘Head of Business Development’ commented “It’s great to be involved with such an exciting company at such an early stage in their business. Our small enough to care BUT large enough to cope approach, combined with our experience, flexibility and realistic pricing made us the perfect fit and we look forward to working with Devaney & Co over the coming months.”
TTS - All New Vehicle Fleet and Ever Higher Levels of Flexibility and Efficiency
In line with a programme of continuous re-investment and service development; TTS has just taken delivery of both a new articulated truck and long-wheel base van fleet.
New – Extended Fleet
Six top of the range DAF XG and two DAF CF artics are accompanied by five new, long-wheel base, high roof vans – all of which were delivered at the end of February (2023).
Director and Joint Founder, Daniel Hollran, commented “Re investing in a new vehicle fleet is vital in not only to achieving the highest possible levels of driver safety and comfort, but also, ensuring maximum fuel efficiency and reliability as well as providing us with useful – on demand - information such as live vehicle tracking. Naturally, all these factors have a big impact on the quality of service that we can provide to our clients.”
All New Levels of Safety & Efficiency
The new, top of the range, DAF artics sees TTS working in partnership with official suppliers - Greenhous DAF of Shrewsbury. The arrangement provides overnight servicing and inspections to minimise the possibility of down time - further enhancing TTS’s levels of efficiency.
Transport and warehouse, management software specialists, Haultech, has equipped TTS with the latest, state of the art, telematics and DVS systems to ensure maximum levels of safety, both to the benefit of TTS drivers and other road users; this is now an essential requirement for logistics companies with London travel in mind.
Other safety features include the ability for TTS office staff to directly monitor tachographs and the ability for drivers to carry out digital - ‘walk around defect checks,’ using their tablets.
Bold New Road Presence & Brand Awareness
The all-new fleet features the most up to date evolution of TTS’s branding; its bold - yet clean - burgundy, grey and white colour scheme presenting a look that’s very different to its perceived competition. Jason Woolley, Joint Founder and MD comments “The latest evolution of our brand, together with eye catching graphics that identify and promote our three key areas of service – ‘transport,’ ‘warehousing / 3PL’ and ‘fulfilment,’ promotes our broad - ‘one-stop-shop’ offering; in many ways, both the fleet and the livery message demonstrate just how much the business has developed over the last 13 years.”
Flexibility and a Whole Team Approach!
In tune with the new fleet, TTS has considerably developed its transport planning and driver team to deal with the constantly growing demand and evermore flexible nature of its offering. Highly skilled and experienced transport planners provide drivers with the latest, up to date - road information and clients with accurate ETA’s.
The ability, to see in an instant, any gaps that might arise in scheduling enables the planning team to provide clients – new and old – with cost effective delivery and collection opportunities to include groupage, part-loads and back-loads.
Especially unique to TTS is it’s levels of flexibility, in terms of the types of goods it can handle; something that also translates through to its storage, 3PL and fulfilment offering.
TTS also has specially trained drivers for tanker delivery and collections and to complement the HGV’s and 18 tonne trucks, TTS’s new van fleet – besides being used in conjunction with 3PL, can be utilised for dedicated courier work. This is ideal for both existing, long-term and new clients looking for swift UK and same-day delivery solutions that are uncompromised by the needs of others.

TTS Gains Increased Trailer Licence
Due to high demand, TTS has increased its trailer licence to a total of 25.
“I think the reason for such high demand is down to several factors” comments Danial Hollran - Director.
“I think our experience, quality of service and flexibility is key since clients now they can rely on us to provide both an excellent level of service as well as the most cost effective solution to meet their needs. However, I do also think that our independent status, that allows us to be more adaptable than most other transport companies and our transparent pricing plays a huge part too.
When they come to TTS they know that the prices we quote will be the prices they pay - without the hidden surcharges that blight so many other transport brands.”
TTS’s fleet of articulated units and trailers is complimented by 7.5 tonners and a fleet of long wheel base, high roof vans for smaller dedicated deliveries.
‘AA’ BRC Accreditation Retained for TTS
First implemented in 2006, BRC accreditation was set up to assure food safety standards through the logistics storage and supply chain
BRC is a global standard and provides the essential certification link between the range of BRC manufacturing standards and the end user - retailer / food service company. The objective of the global standard is to ensure that product integrity, during storage and distribution, does not deteriorate.
Back in June 2021, Telford Transport Solutions (TTS) was awarded the highest accolade of a ‘AA’ rating, for ‘the storage and distribution of packaging materials and consumer products in ambient, stable conditions - and has retained it every year since.
Ian Johnson, TTS’s Senior Business Development Manager commented “As a business, we are constantly pushing ourselves to offer the highest possible standards of service and this naturally includes the care of our client’s stock both during storage and in transit.
We are delighted with BRC’s in depth audit findings which adds further credibility to TTS’s offering.”
